The Victorian Winter Championships are conducted during the winter months, under the auspices of Baseball Victoria. The Championships offer players at all levels the opportunity to participate in an elite regional competition with a long and distinguished tradition in Victorian baseball.

The King of Ballarat Downhill MTB race series is an off season (MTB racing off season) Inter-winter race series, it has been run in the Ballarat area for the past successive 12 years & attracts riders of all levels, families & spectators both locally & even interstate... The KOB series is a 3 round event where riders compete to get down the hill in the fastest possible time, the rider with the lowest time over the series wins the coveted King of Ballarat crown (number 1 race plate).

The 2nd annual Ride for the Kids is a charity bike ride presented by Woolworths and Victoria Police with employees from both organizations taking on the challenge of riding 1000km in 8 days to raise money to support children suffering from cancer.
