Blampied

Blampied
A quaint hamlet set in rolling countryside on the Ballarat-Daylesford Road, 35 kilometres northeast of Ballarat. Its 1865 Swiss Mountain Hotel is said to be Victoria's oldest continually licensed hotel. The walls of this atmospheric pub are adorned with historic photos, one of which, taken around 1910, shows that the hotel has barely altered since horse and cart lumbered past on their way from Daylesford to Ballarat.

Captain's Creek Organic Wines
An inviting cellar door featuring organic wine and cider, regional beers, hand made local cheeses and seasonal farm-fresh produce.  Lunches served 12-3pm. Open 11am-5pm weekends and public holidays and other times by appointment. Kangaroo Hills Rd, Blampied www.captainscreek.com
