Golden City Paddle Steamer and Museum Society INC
View the history of paddle boats, the digital photographic images and watch new and old videos of activities held on the lake at the Lake Wendouree Museum.
View the Photographic Display of Ballarat Buildings from their past 1850 to 19Ballatat Society of Artists is showcasing their art of the Lake.
Located on the foreshore of Lake Wendouree, opposite the Lake View Hotel.
The museum and paddle boat are operated by the volunteers of the Golden City Paddler Steamer Museum Society Inc. The Museum is open each Sunday for showings like the Historic Ballarat photographic display. The museum can open at other times by request from the public, businesses or groups.
Enjoy a cruise on the Golden City Paddle Boat (a replica of the original Golden City Paddle Steamer). Enjoy the beautiful views, and bird life and listen to the history of the lake and the original paddle steamer, while relaxing to the beat of the paddles.
Operating most Sundays during the period November to April (weather permitting).

New Attraction: The Society in collaboration with the Ballarat Society of Artists is presenting a display of their art, ‘Glimpses’.
