Did you ever think you were going to see their face again?

This November, Mushroom Pictures, the Melbourne International Film Festival and ALWAYS LIVE will bring the magic of music and film to three major regional centres across Victoria, headlined by the legendary Australian rock band The Angels.

The LongPlay Music Film Festival will see some of the best music documentaries from across the globe showcased at Ballarat’s Regent Cinemas, Geelong’s Pivotonian Cinema and Sun Cinema Bairnsdale.

The Angels’ brothers Rick and John Brewster will perform an acoustic set of some of their biggest hits on Monday 21 November at Ballarat’s Regent Cinemas.

This four-day festival is a curated selection of world-class music feature films, energising these regional towns through the unique storytelling of music and cinema.

“ALWAYS LIVE was a dream my late father had to reassure our state’s live music roots and I am proud to be part of the team making it a reality.”

ALWAYS LIVE chairman Matt Gudinski, whose father, Michael Gudinski, conceived the initiative prior to his passing

Headlining this exciting line-up of documentaries is The Angels: Kickin’ Down The Door – a new feature documentary about the legendary Australian rock band.

The Angels’ brothers Rick and John Brewster will perform an acoustic set of some of their biggest hits on Monday 21 November at Ballarat’s Regent Cinemas immediately after the film and take questions from fans in the audience.

Also featuring as part of the festival will be the Sinead O’Connor bio Nothing Compares, the restoration of Martin Scorsese’s classic The Last Waltz, and the Foo Fighters documentary We Are The Thousand.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.regentballarat.com.au

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities.

These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years.

As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
