By train
Hop on a V/Line train at Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station and, in less than 90 minutes, you'll have arrived at the historic Ballarat Train Station in the centre of town.
Via the airport
The road trip from Tullamarine or Avalon airports to Ballarat takes about 60 minutes. Transport options direct from the airport include hiring a car or booking the Airport Shuttlebus from Tullamarine.

Travelling with a caravan or motorhome?
The new Ballarat Botanical Gardens Visitor Information Centre at the Robert Clark Centre has plenty of parking options to cater for bigger vehicles.
Dedicated caravan parking is located on Nursery Drive (off Wendouree Parade), along with public toilets and some great spaces to stretch your legs in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
