The 11th Ballarat International Foto Biennale celebrates photography, digital media, and promptography, bringing together artists and audiences in a dynamic exploration of visual storytelling.
British-Ghanaian artist and photographer Campbell Addy will headline the festival with the Australian premiere solo exhibition, I ❤ Campbell. Featuring a newly conceived set of images, original paintings and a short film shot on location in Ghana, I ❤ Campbell reflects a personal meditation on the artist’s roots and inspiration.
From 23 August to 19 October, Ballarat Foto 11 is an immersive cultural experience for photographers and art lovers.
Come to Ballarat and explore: A curated Core Program showcasing Australian and international artists; An Open Program of new artists; Workshops and public programs led by acclaimed photographers; Experience the future of photography with the Prompted Peculiar International AI Prize; Special events, unique happenings and street photography opportunities.
As part of the festival celebrations in 2025, the first stage of the National Centre for Photography will officially open in October in the stunning heritage-listed former Union Bank building in the heart of Ballarat. The centre will provide a new space for photography, exhibitions, art, and ideas.
