Well it's happening again!

Bloopers, divas, a deranged backstage assistant, prop failures and endless confusion as a bunch of amateur thespians try to prepare for an end of year play at their local club.

'The Ballarat South Seniors Amateur Dramatic Theatrical Society Inc', pull all the ropes, (well most of the ropes anyway) wrongly, during a play rehearsal.

Set in the roaring twenties Rose, a girl from a local nightclub, has come to work at Aladdin's and Suzie Wongs Chinese Takeaway. Rose's boyfriend Dick and his two gangster henchmen, Loui and Sol, try to persuade Rose to return to the club. Dick thinks Rose has stolen jewellery from his safe Rose Refuses to return so Dick has his boys kidnap her. Their attempt to do so goes wrong and they kidnap Aladdin. Suzie, buys an old lamp and out pops a very effeminate, ineffective Genie. Rose enlists his help .

The Genie's attempt to help further complicates things when he accidently conjures up a Pirate King. Meanwhile Louie and Sol's girlfriends, Pearl and Lulu decide to reveal who really stole the jewels, The culprits stow away on the Pirate King's galleon Suzie gets friends from the Twelfth Street Mission to look after the shop and all set sail for China to rescue Aladdin.

Chaos and hilarity soon erupts on high seas.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
