This engaging and intimate performance will feature classical masterworks by Bach, Beethoven and Dvořák, alongside contemporary works by Philip Glass and Caroline Shaw, interspersed with delightfully informative introductions to the music. Acclaimed for the energy and dynamism of their performances, the ACO Collective Quartet is made up of graduates from the Australian Chamber Orchestra's renowned Emerging Artist Program.

ACO Collective is the ACO's critically acclaimed string ensemble that brings together musicians of the ACO with Australia's most talented emerging professional string players. ACO Collective was formed under the direction of ACO Principal Violin Helena Rathbone in 2007 and has since performed in more than 85 regional centres in every state and territory.

"The Australian Chamber Orchestra's emerging talent arm, ACO Collective, is blazing a promising trail into the artform's next era." – The Age

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
