Ahead of their performances at The Sydney Opera House, the National Folk Festival and CresFest, Chris Stout and Catriona McKay, leading lights in Scottish contemporary folk music, will be in Blackwood for a unique, intimate concert at St Martin's Chapel.
Best Duo Winners of BBC Radio 2 Folks Awards 2018, fiddle player Chris Stout and harpist Catriona McKay have taken these most traditional of Scottish instruments and catapulted them into the contemporary world of music making.
A 30 year long telepathy sees this remarkable duo weave their way seamlessly between glorious soundscapes and music of breathtaking simplicity. This performance has their recent masterpiece ‘Glenshee’ as its centrepiece. Richly evocative music capturing the iconic Scottish Glen steeped in history.
