“Let’s go girls” and guys! A jam-packed performance filled to the brim with country music hit after hit by some of best in the biz.

What are ‘Country Stars’ made of? Fable, Foibles and fact of course!

Who could resist the sass of Shania Twain with the darling of rock’n’roll, Miss Linda Ronstadt along with country music royalty Tammy Wynette and the innocence of Australia’s own Olivia Newton-John?

In the quest for a ‘Country Queen’ Amber Joy Poulton and her band The Governing Bodies, will pick apart the fabric of the life and careers of four country greats.

The spotlight will be beamed on the biggest hits of these powerhouse women whose careers have led them to this night, as deserved contenders for the coveted Crown, decided by you, the audience.

Sing along to your favorites…'Just One Look', 'Silver Threads & Golden Needles', 'Country Roads Take Me Home',

'If You’re Not In It For Love', 'That’ll Be The Day', 'Stand By Your Man', 'Banks Of The Ohio', 'Still The One', 'When Will I Be Loved', 'D-I-V-O-R-C-E', 'I Honestly Love You', and of course 'Man, I Feel Like A Woman!' and maybe even a few Amber Joy Poulton songs.

Under the watchful eye of The Governing Bodies, together we will crown a Queen, even if she only reigns for a day.

Acknowledgement of Country

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
