The Hardies Hillbillies is a four-piece string band that plays old-time music distilled from the mountain dew that forms on the slopes of Hardies Hill Volcano, within a basalt stone’s throw of Mount Buninyong, where blackberry juice, turpentine, banjos and fiddles are squeezed from local stills and combine to form a mighty fine blend of old-timey music as smoky and genuine as campfire roasted chestnuts. Spine-tingling vocal harmonies and foot stomping fiddle tunes will transport you to a time when music had soul and enlighten you to life’s simple truth; that everything sounds better with a fiddle, a dobro, an old upright Bass and a banjo.
